Many times, when adding content to your site, you will copy and paste text from another program like Microsoft Word or Outlook. When copying content from these programs into the WordPress visual editor, it will usually include unnecessary code that you can’t see unless you look at the HTML editor. This extra code will cause conflicts and styling issues so WordPress includes a simple way to paste in text from any program.

Here is how it’s done:

  1. Copy the text you wish to use.
  2. In the WordPress editor, select either of these buttons: paste-from-word.
  3. Paste your content into the window and then click “Insert”.
